Liana Dillon

Liana Dillon grew up dancing in Missoula, Montana, beginning her artistic journey as a ballerina performing in many years of Garden City Ballet’s The Nutcracker. After graduating high school, she moved to Seattle, Washington for a year in the dance program at Cornish College of the Arts before coming back home to the University of Montana, where she earned her BA in Dance in 2024. During her time at the University, Liana developed her voice as a contemporary dancer through performing and choreographing in student produced shows as well as participating in guest artist residencies and traveling to perform in American College Dance Association conferences throughout the Northwest. In addition to her college education, Liana attended Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine in 2022 and again in 2024, where she worked with incredible mentors and peers across a range of techniques that helped to further shape her as an artist.

Since then, she has found professional work down a variety of avenues including guest choreographing for the University of Montana’s Dance on Location and Westside Theater’s abunDANCE, teaching and choreographing in Missoula Dance Festival, and even traveling to Helena to be a fairy in an opera! She also had the privilege of performing with Kinetic Convergence Dance throughout their 2024/2025 season and is proud to now be an official member of the company. You may have previously seen her as the California Condor in KCD’s Where Did They All Go? or as a tortured painter in MUSE. She is currently vying for prom queen in KCD’s upcoming production, teaching occasional classes, and guest performing with Bare Bait Dance in their spring show, An Exquisite Corpse. When she’s not on the stage or in the studio, you can find her making chai at Funk It Coffee and Thrift.
